Medicare is the most popular healthcare insurance program that exists in the United States. The government agency, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services oversees the program.
You must be at least 65 years oldand and a resident permanent or citizens from the United States and have had medicare coverage while you worked.
There are two parts to medicare insurance, Part A which includes hospital insurance and Part B which refers to medical insurance. Part A covers your care for the duration of your stay at the hospital. It does not have a cost or monthly premium, but you will be responsible for part of the costs. Pary B includes doctor services , such as medical tests and outpatient hospital care. This is an annual charge as well as a shared cost.
Because Medicare doesn’t cover 100% of costs, there are medicare supplement plans available in addition.
